Melanie Coulson has spent more than 15 years experience working as an award-winning, senior-level journalist in major newsrooms across the country before moving to communications and content marketing.
She has worked as Director, Communications and Content at United Way Ottawa and Director of Communications at Sustainable Prosperity, an economic think tank based out of the University of Ottawa’s Institute of the Environment.
For the past six years, Melanie has taught a digital media course at Carleton’s School of Journalism and Communication with a focus on social media and civic culture. She has also been a judge for the National Newspaper Awards’ multimedia entries and the Canadian Journalism Foundation’s Innovation Award.
