Heather Desserud
Director of Online Engagement
Heather Desserud is a communications consultant and writer with a keen interest in social media and community engagement. She began working with Canada 2020 in 2009, where she is now Director of Online Engagement.
She holds a B.A. Honours from The University of Western Ontario’s English department, where she studied medieval languages and literature. She was a Killam Fellow (Fulbright Canada) from 2004 to 2005, as well as a recipient of an Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGS) and a Canada Graduate Scholarship (SSHRC).
She is also a dedicated musician who plays classical and folk violin.
