Amanda Howe advises clients on organizational challenges and major events. Amanda’s recent portfolio includes the city’s role in the visit of Pope Francis to New York and the historic ticker tape parade held in Manhattan to honor the 2015 World Cup champions; the U.S. Women’s Soccer team.
Previously, Amanda served as Acting Chief of Staff to New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio and was the Chief Operating Officer of the Democratic National Committee for three years during President Obama’s 2012 re-election campaign.
Amanda is the former Vice President of the American Council on Renewable Energy in Washington, DC.
Amanda has extensive state government experience, serving in two administrations in the Commonwealth of Virginia, where she led the planning for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth’s official visit to the U.S. in 2007. She served as the Assistant Secretary of Commerce and Trade for Governor Mark R. Warner, with a focus on economic development, tourism, and energy, and as Senior Advisor for Communications to Virginia Governor Tim Kaine.
Amanda is a native of Niagara-on-the-lake, Ontario, Canada, and holds a B.A. from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
