Diana Carney is Director of Strategy and Engagement at the Institute for Public Policy Research (IPPR) in London. Prior to this she worked as VP Research at Canada 2020, where she coordinated the federal government strategy project, The Canada We Want in 2020. Diana started her career as a management consultant at Monitor. She then worked for two decades in overseas development, focusing on policy to support sustainable livelihoods. During this time she worked for DFID, as a Research Fellow at the Overseas Development Institute, and as an independent consultant to various charities, foundations and not-for-profits. She holds a first class undergraduate degree from Oxford University as well graduate degrees from the University of Pennsylvania and Oxford.
