On Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at 12:00 ET, join Indigenous leaders to discuss what will be required to invest in our country sustainably; respect and protect Indigenous peoples’ rights, territories, and interests; and work together towards a net zero future.
How is Canada going to reach net-zero by 2050? To start, we must look to the leadership, experience, and innovation of Indigenous communities from coast-to-coast-to-coast.
Clean energy infrastructure – including new clean power stations, expanded transmission lines, carbon capture and storage facilities, and more – rely on Indigenous lands and resources, and also present an incredible opportunity for investment in Indigenous communities. This investment is essential not only to building toward a sustainable shared future, but to the continued process of reconciliation. Indigenous communities must be central to this economic transition.
